Hi! I’m Jannieke van Geet, a Dutch graphic and product designer with a deep passion for custom playing cards, luxury watches, and historical themes.
With a marketing degree and over 20 years of design experience, I founded the Dutch Card House Company in 2016, focusing on premium playing cards and collectibles. Since then, I’ve launched over 30 successful Kickstarter campaigns, bringing iconic decks like Diamon Playing Cards, Tulip Playing Cards, Paisley Playing Cards, and Secret Tale Playing Cards to a global audience. I love designing cards with intricate patterns, vibrant yet harmonious colors, and cultural storytelling, whether it’s the mathematical elegance of diamond motifs, the Delft Blue tulips of my Dutch heritage, or the medieval folk art of Secret Tale Legends.
In 2020, I co-founded LIGURE Watches, a luxury watch brand inspired by the maritime beauty of Liguria, Italy. As the lead designer, I created the Tartaruga series, a collection of dive watches that blend Italian elegance with Swiss precision. I’m proud that they’ve been celebrated for their unique design and affordability.
For me, design is a storytelling medium, and I strive to craft products that are both functional and visually striking, whether it’s the harmonious dials of LIGURE or the detailed components of my upcoming board game, Harbour of Fortune.
Speaking of Harbour of Fortune, I’m thrilled to share my debut board game with you, which is launching on Kickstarter fall 2025. The Game is set in 1653 New Amsterdam, it invites you to lead rival merchant families in a quest for wealth and influence. I poured my heart into designing its custom card decks and other components that bring the colonial era to life. Every card tells a story, reflecting my love for creating pieces that are both functional and collectible.
Beyond gaming and watches, I’m also an accomplished canvas artist under my nickname “Puck.” My paintings, with their bold brushstrokes and vibrant, expressive style, often depict animals and still life with emotional depth. From the piercing gaze of an eagle to the tender connection between a ewe and her lamb, I aim to capture the beauty of the natural world with raw, heartfelt intensity.
My journey as a designer is all about creating experiences that resonate with players, collectors, and enthusiasts.
